About Me

Aww, you want to know more about me? I'm flattered.

In that case, let's toss aside brevity for a moment and take it back to the beginning. It all started when I got my first set of wooden ABC blocks. I knew I wanted to be a writer the moment I pushed them together to spell BUTT. Kidding. Not about my origin story. About my life story. If you want to read that, you'll have to wait for my memoir.

Now, back to the regularly scheduled About Me info. Let’s get the technical stuff out of the way, shall we? I've got a BA in Business Communication from Brock University and a certificate in Copywriting from Humber College. That education set me up for a career in advertising where I’ve spent the last 17 years plying my trade as a copywriter. If you'd like a detailed CV, here you go.

As for the other writing, cough, cough my book, that’s a side hustle I partake in when I’m not busy creating ads that change* the world or fulfilling my duty as the World’s Greatest Dad.

Speaking of that accolade, I’m the proud father to two boys. Short story, they’re the best. If you’d like the long story (i.e. details of my 14-year run as the World’s Greatest Dad), they’ll happily take you through all the ins and outs if you Venmo them enough for a Blizzard.

I’m also a big sports junkie. Following a long and rewarding career in baseball and then softball, I recently hung up my cleats after my team won our B League Coed Slo Pitch championship. Don’t worry, I still get my fix as a ride-or-die Blue Jays fan. As for actual sports, I’m addicted to golf and play whenever I can, which is not as much as I’d like given how busy I am with everything I shared in the previous paragraphs.
